Admin & Standard account question

I would like to drop my account from Admin to Standard. So, if i create a new Admin account and drop my current admin account to not being able to administer the mac, will i have any problems with using my now standard account? Make sense?

Yeah i missed an ideal opertunity when i got a new iMac, but got so carried away with setting it all up i forgot to do it on a Standard account

Thanks for the replies. So, if i demote my account afer creating another Admin one i will not have any issues with accessing files etc?
