Administrator account on Apple OS

Just a quick query.

My mother in law has sold a business including a couple of imacs.

The new owners want to install new software on the imacs, but ran into trouble because the do not have the admin password.

I thought I would like to suggest a way to resolve this if I can.

Firstly - is there a default password for the admin account?

Secondly - if not - what is the best way of getting round this?

i dont think there is a defualt password. did your mother in law own the macs?

You can reset the password using the install disk, but it won't rescue the keychain password, so the new owners will likely run into trouble in future as there will presumably be various other passwords - you can't unlock those without the original password, not the new, post-reset one.
