I bought a laptop which came with W7 Pro. Quite often it says I can't do things without getting permission from the administrator. Like, I wanted to save some screenshots in a futuremark folder in program files(x86) that I'd done with the snipping tool. It said I'd need admin permission, would I like to save in another folder instead. How can I get rid of all these admin permission notices?

Normally when it comes up with that message, there is normally a button to continue (it then checks your account to make sure its an administrator) Does it just outright deny you?

You're correct, it does that in some cases, but in others, it outright denies me.

Either add the user you're logging in as to the administrators group in computer management or turn UAC off through system properties I believe.

Well, I don't get any of these permissions on my desktop, and just realised it's set to never notify. Never had any major issues I couldn't get sorted out before, so, I'm fine with it.

Thanks. Why is it not advisable to turn UAC off out of interest?

Here's a screenshot showing this happening.

That looks more like you don't own the folder you're trying to save to. It isn't a UAC issue.
Do you know how to change the owner of folders?

Edit:
My Computer
Right click C drive (or the folder you want control of)
Security Tab
click Advanced
owner tab
click edit (UAC will moan here if it's turned on)
tick the "replace owner on subcontainers" checkbox
select your username from the list
press OK
