First time using Windows Vista. Its the Ultimate Version. I have installed some software and its telling me it can't run because it needs to be run for the first time using an Administrator account. The problem is, I am the Administrator

Please help :)

Thank you :)

right click the icon/exe and select "run as administrator". if it needs changing permanently, you can goto the properites, compatibility tab, tick the box under "priviledge level". (i'm running vista32 - i assume 64 is the same)

It annoyed the hell out of me not being admin.

To enable the admin account, do the following.

1)right click my computer
2)click manage
3)expand local users and groups
4)click on users
5)on your right double click on "admin"
6)untick account is disabled

Now log off and login into the admin accouint and no more "you need admin" crap.
