Afternoon all,

Do any of you make use of an Adobe Standard/Professional alternative?

I've been looking at NitroPDF which offers an express and professional version which appears to be able to do everything Adobe can but at a fraction of the price.

So your wanting an alternative to Acrobat, just saying Adobe is a bit vague.

pdfFactory Pro is probably the most complete solution but it really depends on what you want to do with the pdf's as to which solution is best for you since only Acrobat really does everything you can do with the format since it is their format in the first place.

Sorry all, being more specified i'm talking about a replacement with the capability of Adobe Standard or Professional.

So coverting PDFs to Word documents, directly editing PDFs etc.

The reader's aren't an alternative to the Adobe products I said in my original post :)

You'll never get a program that's as good as Adobe Pro as Adobe try and keep a reasonable grip on the standard and some of the patents for editing etc.

Possibly not, but they are incredibly expensive and the one I mentioned claims to do pretty much most things at a much cheaper cost.

I'monly really talking about using it for coverting PDFs to Office documents, and some basic editing/rotating of images within a PDF.
