Adobe Creative Cloud on a 7970??

A mate of mine is looking for a card to use with Creative Cloud on his PC and I told him my old 7970 might do the trick.

He games a bit as well but does anyone here use CC and able to vouch for the 7970?

I know Apple have FirePro's in the new macPro and Adobe started to switch to open cl but it's hard to establish the exact state of affairs from internet searches (the articles are always a little out of date).

To my knowledge he'll be using premier and illustrator...
