Hi all

Bit of a noob question... I currently have Adobe CS5 on two separate computers.

One I am using and the other is being used by someone else (who is not using CS5). IT want to refurb this machine but I haven't let them as I don't want to lose my second copy. :(

So was wondering.. do I just need to uninstall it from the machine and re-install onto another to keep that copy or is there something else I need to do so I don't lose it?

I have the product key... somewhere...

Thanks

If it's anything like CS3, then you'll need to deactivate your current copy. You do this via the Help menu.

On the up side, you don't have to uninstall that copy; deactivation alone will be sufficient as far as Adobe are concerned.

On the down side, you'll have to... find your product key when it comes to installation on your new machine.

If it's nothing like CS3, then apologies for muddying the water :D

Thanks for your response! Gives me something else to look out for.

I'll see if I can find the deactivation thingy after I have found the key of course ;)

Cheers!

I'm running with CS5.5 and can confirm it's possible to deactivate:

Edit: Holy image size batman! Forgot to save as a PNG. Oops.
