adobe flash problems

I have lost the ability to play flash files and the tool options to enable java have also disappeared in IE7. I am also unable to dwnload the Flash player as a reinstall but this particular problem may be due to the adobe website?
I am up 2 date with all the updates: running xp sp2 with zone alarm and Nod 32. I also use spybot intermittingly. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks

you need to uninstall flash with the little program on this site, then reinstall, it should work fine after.
