Hi there,

I am new to adobe PDF, and I'm trying to make my PDF so that the recipient cannot select the text and copy then paste it into word and edit my text.

I've been digging through the menus and help file but I must have missed it :/

Thank in adv

I'm using version 8 Professional, but all I do is click 'Secure' on the toolbar (or Advanced > Security), go to 'Manage Security Policies' and then set up a new one in there (or there may already be a default one you can just use).

Providing you select the right options, this will stop people from copying the text unless they know the password. Be careful though, as you may also stop them from printing etc. as well :D

its a bit weird, there were options to encrypt and password but nothing else which kinda through me off. i created a seperate "security" option that locks copying and allows high Q printing.

Thx for the answer :)
