Adobe Photoshop CS and Camera RAW (NOT CS2!)

Hi,

Managed to pick up a cheap (£55 123rd hand

) copy of CS for Mac but Camera RAW will not work with it. Need to get my .NEF RAW files to work until Aperture + new Mac arrives. Has anyone got the up to date download link for the CS compatible plugin? Cant find it anywhere. Adobe are only listing CS2 compaitible plugins,...!

EDIT: It is not essential as I will be using Aperture in the future, but it would be nice to be able to use it.

EDIT 2: Infact, does CS even support the latest Camera RAW plugins? And why not?

I don't think CS does support RAW.
As a temporary fix to tide you over, how about downloading the Beta version of Lightroom if it's still available.

I would if it could run. Currently using an old G3 900 iBook. Lightroom needs OSX 10.4 or higher

The Camera Raw site says that Camera Raw 3.0 and greater is not compatible with Photoshop CS so I guess anything less than 3.0 should be suitable. There's a Camera Raw 2.4 for a Mac CS here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=2705 and earlier ones at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/search/index.cfm?loc=en_us&term=Camera+Raw.
