Adobe Premiere Pro 2 Help

Right, i finally fixed my problem with uploading my footage.

It may sound simple but how do i split up my clips so i can actually edit it? I tried using the razer tool but i have been told i am supposed to crop the bits i want using the source window?

Anybody with Premiere able to help me?

I've always used the razor cut tool to edit clips. Remember that this cut is in the project only and won't alter/edit your original imported clip.
