Adobe Premiere "Red" Screens

Fairly new to video editing, but i've got a batch of 4k footage that my PC simply can't handle smoothly, so was advised to create proxies. I've done this, but each time i import them, at least part of the clip (Random each time) is solid red, as though corrupt/error. The originals play fine.

I've already disabled Intel acceleration as advised, anyone else got any ideas or know a fix?

I'm not too sure, It's H.264 out of a Mavic Pro that i'm editing. Maybe it's because i'm creating a proxy which is GoPro Cineform 720p ?

for 90% of people i've come across with this issue, disabling the acceleration has worked. But not on mine.
