Just a quick question, I have the Adobe Creative Suite on my windows pc.

It seems this type of software is better suited to Mac's therefore if in the future I were to purchase a MacBook Pro is there anywhere I could use this software or would I have to purchase a Mac version?

Thanks

Paul

Thank you,

If I were to use bootcamp would I have to buy a new version of windows or does it come pre-installed? Probably a stupid question but I've never really touched Mac's.

Just had a quick check on the Adobe site and it seems the Student version can be installed on 2 pc's.

As someone who has used (and currently is using) it on both platforms; don't listen to people who say it's better on a mac, it's exactly the same apart from shortcuts. The only reason designers say it's better on a mac is there 'might' be some other program that they use on a mac, but most of the time it's because mac's are pretty & cool, and PC's are not.

If you want a mac, buy it for being a mac, don't buy it because you think adobe creative products will be better on a mac, because they aren't.

This... Unless you NEED Aperture for photos or Final Cut for video then either platform is just as good as the other.

I find Mac's very appealing the whole OS is just beautiful, as is the hardware all quality and everything just works together. Rather than my PC which I gave to my friend that was a pain in the arse. Adobe is Adobe, minor differences with shortcuts but just like Fifa 11 is Fifa 11 on Xbox or PS3!

I just had an impression that they were better suited. Will be a while before I could afford one though.

Not performance wise. Yes you do see a lot of designers using Mac, but in my experience a £1000 PC will completely and utterly obliterate a £1000 Mac with regards to Adobe CS performance. :)

I have Photoshop CS3 (old I know, but I bought them a long while ago and can't afford the upgrade) on my OS X and Bootcamp install and the Windows version just seems a bit snappier to me. Works perfectly well on both, but somethings just seem quicker on the Windows version.

I have a licence for both Mac and Windows by the way, you cannot run the same version on both with the same serial key. Work bought my Windows one, I bought my Mac one.

Absolutely spot on.
