Adsl 2+ on Manchester CEN Exchange

Hi All

I am moving soon and will be on this exchange, my apartment is about 750m from the exchange as the crow flies, no idea on *** line lenght yet.

Just wondered if any one else was on this line, if so what service do you have and is it any cop. trying to decide who to sign up with once the line is in.

It's a dedicated copper pair all the way back to the exchange, so barring the previous/current residents, no one else is going to be on the line :p
Service from the exchange will vary depending on ISP, wholesale provider, direction the wind's blowing etc etc.
 
I mean is dedicated twisted copper a good thing lol, I know previously I had something other than copper and the broadband was carp, in the end the BT man replaced/swapped the line back to the exchange

It has to be dedicated or the ADSL won't work. Copper isn't guaranteed, but most common.
Aluminium's a possibility, but it's rare (other than in the odd joint etc).
 
Thats what I had, aluminium, and the connection was dire. Guess I am just gonna have to wait and see what I get
