Whats the advantage of ADSL2 and will an ADSL2 modem/router (Belkin 125Mbps Wireless ADSL2+ Modem/Router (F5D7633UK4A) (NW-022-BE)) work ok on an ADSL line.
Cheers

There's no advantage if your provider isn't using ADSL2+.
They're backwards compatible.
Thats what i thought but doesnt it make sense as it ensures forward compatability and a little more future proofing?

Unless you have LLU, its debatable (since I'd expect it'll be a while before BTw are using ADSL2+).
Certainly not worth it if you're not buying a router anyway, since you gain absolutely nothing.

Cheers matey, for the next two years it will probably be a two system set-up (system in sig below as the main and another low spec as a media/music system) but after that it will be a 3 system lan gaming set-up.
My broudband is 512 but soon to go to 1 meg if that makes a difference, im also stuck as to what brand of hardware to go for, the Belkin/Linksys fight is raging on another post as i type.
