Got my O2 modem yesterday ready for connection tomorrow but have a quick question about the ADSL filters that came with it. The master socket is in the hallway and the modem will be plugged in a different room. Is there a problem with doing this or am I going to have to faff around with wiring and wotnot?

I assumed all I do is plug the ADSL filter into the socket in the room where the modem is going and hook it up that way leaving the telephone plugged in as is in the master socket.

Can someone let me know either way please?

Thanks.

So, microfilter into main socket with the phone plugged in, then the modem just plugged into the socket in the living room?

I was looking around the net about this and a few sites reckon the modem should be plugged into the master socket for the best speed, but the other socket is only a couple of feet away so shouldn't make too much of a difference right?

Cool, will get everything ready tonight then so I just have a couple of things to plug in tomorrow then.

Thanks.
