I used to be on ADSL Max Premium when I was with TalkTalk (they added it for free as I complained a lot) but when I went to BT it reverted back to 448kbps.

A couple of weeks ago my upload jumped back up to ~750kbps as it was with TalkTalk and now it's up to 800kbps.

Purely out of interest, does anyone have any idea why? I'm not paying for it. I don't want to ask BT in case they decide to take it off :p.

I'm about 200m away from the exchange :)

Yep I do seem to achieve it during tests. I'm certainly not complaining just curious why it's suddenly reappeared - until TalkTalk added it I was stuck on 448 upload for years!

~520 residential and ~25 non-residential so no :(.

The exchange 3 miles away has ADSL2, LLU and FTTC, shame they didn't route it via this one :p

I've been knocking the back door for 20 minutes let me in ffs :D

And in relation to the internet, 800kb is the theoretical max on ADSL max, so you're just getting what the quality/length of your line can support.

Time to order an electric perimeter fence :p.

I get that ~800 is approaching the top end of ADSL max but I just don't get why (for curiosity's sake) BT have suddenly upped my upload to it without me paying or requesting it.

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth I suppose :p.

Cool, I'll keep an eye on it then and see what happens :).

Thanks for all the input.
