Hi,

Ive been switched over to Nildram Max today from Pipex 2mb, i left my router off overnight, and its booted up today with these stats:

Downstream Rate: 4416 Kbps
Upstream Rate: 448 Kbps
Downstream Margin: 6 db
Upstream Margin: 19 db
Downstream Line Attenuation: 58
Upstream Line Attenuation: 31

However even though its synced at 4 odd mb, I can only download at a solid maximum of 2mbit speeds still.

Is this anything I need to worry about, i heard something about 2mbit speeds being the result of stuck BRAS profiles, but i thought turning off the router would solve this.

Any ideas what i need to do? Or do i just have to wait and hope the speed increases over the next 10 days. Is there quite a good chance i will see 4mb on the above stats?

Thanks a lot for any advice,
Jack

With regards to BRAs profiles:

from 3424Kbps 3Mbps
from 4000Kbps 3.5Mbps
from 4544Kbps 4Mbps
from 5120Kbps 4.5Mbps

So at 4416Kbps you'll be set for the 3.5Mbit profile. It should take around 3 days for the speed to rise, nothing to worry about.

You'll find that your sync rate will drop a bit in the evenings though so don't be annoyed that you're only just off the 4Mbit profile :)
