ADSL microfilter stuck in socket.

Hello there people.

So I'm trying to help a friend correct some network issues and while taking a general look at the modem etc I noticed that the ADSL microfilter is stuck into the wall socket.

Anyone know what to do in this situation as it is probably what's causing the fault in the line and as such needs to be replaced.

Essentially, the bit that clips into the socket (Male) is stuck.

Heh, I've come across several myself, it looks old and worn but there are other issues that I'm going to look at later but it was one of my main concerns.

I did attempt that, but my stuck I mean it's wedged in even so that the plastic tab is pushed down constantly but it's still stuck, like someones forced it in with a hammer or something.
