Hey,

I did try and look but couldn't find out much.

I am with Bulldog and get good speeds and its uncapped which is nice, I'm being banned from them due to money issues.

Anyway, who else is good?

I basically want uncapped and no throttling. I can't get BE :(

Thanks.

There aren't really andy good ISPs left that offer an uncapped service without throttling unless you are prepared to pay for it.

Only LLU providers can really afford to do it as part of a standard package.

im with bulldog LLU and its uncapped. although i sync up at around 4megs speed.

i don;t get why your wanting to change ISP? it sounds like you didn;t pay the bill last month and are trying to do a runner but they cuz your net access. pay the bill man PAY THE BILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p

Turns out I haven't paid the bill ever! They have cancelled the line and I can't get back with them untill its paid in full which will be 3 months!

I need the net for work.

So the net is vital for your work and you didn't notice you'd never paid the bill? :)

You won't get 'unlimited' unless you are spending a serious amount each month, but you can get a service with a high allowance from one of the Entanet resellers like UKFSN or ADSL24 at a good price.

I believe they're entitled not to give you a MAC until you've paid your bill so you're going to be stuck until you do. I'll be happy to be wrong about this.

Wrong other way round, they CANT withhold the MAC code.

I think that may be irrelevant, if they have already cancelled the line then a MAC wouldn't be any use anyway.

Bulldog are seriously rubbish for billing, chances are they never sent you a bill.

I phoned and cancelled, saying I wanted to cancel and wanted the MAC code to transfer, they took 1 month too many so I cancelled by DD to stop them taking money (work pay so I wasn't too fussed), 6 months later I got a bill - I called and said I had cancelled they said I didn't I just asked for a MAC code, after much arguing they said they would refund me, 6 months later I get another letter saying I owed them money. I wrote a letter explaining the situation in simple English.

The next month I got a bill saying I owed them nothing (no mention of my refund though), I would stay well away from Bulldog, I would go on dialup rather than go with Bulldog

But if hes on llu, then he cant get a mac code anyway can he?

And if they leave there tag on the line, then hes got no chance of moving to anyone else?

Just pay what you owe them ! lol

If he is on the full Bulldog MPF service where they own the phone line as well as the DSL then no, he can't use a MAC as he will have to do a 'return to donor' first which removes DSL and puts his phone line back with BT.

A day or so after that he can order ADSL form where ever he wants.

If someone is with an SMPF LLU operator like BE for example then yes, you can use a MAC.
