Ok, the story as it stands:
On Bulldog's 8mb ADSL service.
Had a D-Link 504T modem/router, worked fine (6-7mbps) untill a month ago, started dropping connection, connecting very slow, lots of attenuation on line.
Returned it for RMA, borrowed a friends Netgear DG834, which worked fine (6-7mbps) for about two weeks, then same problem as the D-Link. Phoned Bulldog, logged fault, ran line test, no faults, no corrosion, no excess noise, no excess resistance. Techincal guy said it was more than likely a dodgy microfilter/router/cable.
I've replaced both the microfilter and cable, tried factory re-sets, pretty much everything asside from buying a new router.
Any one got any suggestions, apart from buying a new router and RMA'ing the Netgear one.
Starts here:
U/Stream - 576kbps
D/Stream - 576kbps
U/stream attenuation - 57
D/Stream attenuation - 50
U/stream margin - 10
D/Stream margin - 3
