ADSL problems

Thankfully it's not my line thats the problem - but a friends in a nearby village (large village) who is co-incidentally on the same ISP as me.

He hasnt been able to get any ADSL connectivity, and has been round to mine and we've tested both of his routers, both are working fine.

Any idea what could be causing the problems, and more importantly is there any BT contacts to nag to or would he have to keep hammering away at the ISPs' tech support?

BT won't help you unless they supply his broadband. ISPs tech support is the way to go as long as his telephone line is working properly (i.e. no noise from a single telephone in the test socket).
