Hello people.

Need help with my networking problem.

My O2 box III decided to start messing with me (again, that is the second one). So i may need a replacement modem/router.

Since i'm on LLU i will need that supported and possibly futureproof for whatever is coming (fiberop ? bt infinity ?).

Not really sure what i need at this moment, just need suggestions and arguments for/against (will research these in more detail later).

Not looking to spend crazy money. Low to Midrange.

Not looking spending £100, but on further consideration i may NEED to spend it, but its stretching it to £100 and not a penny more (suggestions are still welcome).

What can i get for 100 ?

At the moment i have a DLNA set up via usb hdd that is jacked into my pc, PS3 being the player connected to tv. Loads of wireless devices (DSI, Galaxy Tab, couple of android phones). PC is hooked up to router via cable (jusl like it this way, no wifi troubles)... At some point i may need starting restricting internet usage (children growing up, etc...). Possible FTTC ?

Been looking at Netgear DGND3700 but price is a bit too much...

As for bundled rubbish routers...well, i'm on third O2 box and ALL of them were rubbish... Used my super-old linksys for some time, it was better than O2 Box III....until it blew up as well, that is...

Also i like self relying. I'd rather have tech ready if needed, without using usually crap bundled with the service, that isnt yours to keep and needs to be returned at your expense...etc......

On OCUK site, DGND3700 is shown as adsl2+, isnt it what i need for LLU ? I dont think i'll ever use IPStream...

To quote:
"All-in-one - Built-in ADSL2+ modem and WAN Gigabit Ethernet port for cable/fiber combined with a wireless router create the Ultimate Integrated Home Gateway"

Isn't it what i presently use and need ?

#Edit1# Also, didnt 7800N had some problems with QoS (absense of ? not sure, have to research more)?
