ADSL Router Needed!

I currently have a DGN2000 which has stopped working.

I'm currently on a 8MB BT Wholesale line with TalkTalk being my ISP.

I would like a router which has greater range than the DGN2000 as the wireless connection sometimes drops out.

I don't really care about NAS or downloading torrents with the router but if it comes with it I don't mind.

I don't really have a budget, but would like the best router for my needs.

Cheers,
Oliver

I'm not sure that any have better range. I'd be making sure your computer can use wireless-N. Then I'd be thinking about using ethernet-over-power to move the router closer to where you normally use it.

The DGN2000 looks like it has standard screw on aerials so I'd try some 7/8db aerials first... can be had for about £5 a piece...

I'd also try different channels to check for interference.

From what I can see the router has stopped working so he needs to replace it. Tbh the best thing todo is have a read around. Routers to a extent go down to personal preference.

For me I went netgear 3700 which I then put gargoyle on, add a separate modem and for the money IMHO it's a good solution. But for me qos was the critical aspect as my gaming was suffering, you may have different requirements. Wifi is also very good in the 3700. Note this is the one without the inbuilt modem as I understand that had issues.
