I recommended the Belkin F5D8632UK4A 300Mbps N1 to a friend as I had the predecessor and (still) get on really well with it. After months of calls to Belkin support and several firmware fixes it is now gathering dust on his shelf as an expensive paperweight. Clearly not learning his lesson he has asked me to spec him a replacement. :p

So, He needs ADSL, wireless N, and 8 gigabit ports. I'm leaning towards a separate solution of something like the HP ProCurve Switch 1810G paired with something good. The real dilemma is which ADSL router. The key issue is stability, he is sick and tired of rebooting the router and all the machines to kick life into his dying network and wants something that will give good performance and 'just work'. He is the sole user of his network so I can't see any need for QoS (correct me if I'm wrong) or any of the other 'management' tools that come with some of the better boxes.

His network includes a couple of computers, a WHS box, an xBox, and some hateful iTrash (;)) Whilst I don't want to rip the wee-wee, he has a pretty good budget and would probably be willing to stretch towards the £200 mark so if possible I'd like to give him a few options at say £100, £150, and £200.
