ADSL Router

Ive got a Linksys WAG54G router, and since ive had it ive had a number off problems with it. Iam looking to buy a new router probably the Netgear DG834G. What routers do you guys use?

ive just bought the router that you mention and find it fantastic..... was easy to set up and my connection seems a lot more stable compared to the old linksys jobby i had before...

I use a DG834GT, supplied by my ISP. Been rock solid since I got it, no problems at all.

I use a desktop and laptop, both have no issues, even the laptop at longer ranges.

Ive just bought the DG834G also, Easy to set up, and Stability has been great. 108:44:06 hours Uptime since i got it

What version has everyone got?

Also would it matter if I brought a aol/virgin or sky branded one? If so would some off the features be blocked?

mines a version 3 model..........
not sure abnout the next question but i cant see why aol etc would disable certain features??

Do you know if there is much off a differance between v1,2 and 3? I take it you can update the firmware on each?

Reason I ask is a friend has a sky one and he siad there where some things locked, not quite sure what he meant though he didnt go into detail.

ive been to the netgear website and you can update the firmware for the different versions..the only problem there was that the earlier version couldnt be "upgraded" to the newer versions... ive downloaded the firmware but im not gonna bother updating the router

Ok thanks, can anyone shed any light on this.....
