With Pipex at the moment contract up, whos got the best deal at the moment.

Can only get 1mb at the moment line can only handle that much, but would like a no holds barred service but willing to look at ones with 40gb limit or over.

is the Talk Talk deal any good.

I personally use Nildram... a tad more expensive than many, but in three years of being with them i've only seen them go down once... also they host many halflife gaming servers, which is a big plus if you play that. The package I use has a 50gb per month limit during 08:00-00:00. Overnight is uncapped.. frankly unless you're downloading warez 24/7 you're not gonna come close to that limit.

As for TalkTalk... I can't recommend it at the moment... my Grandma recently switched to it without consulting me..... so I've speant the last month chasing them up on her behalf. It seems they've been overwhelmed by demand and have basically collapsed under the strain.

They sound a good deal on paper, but remember that you pay for quality of service as well as features.

TalkTalk may well prove reliable in the future but at the moment they're a total mess. 1 hr queues for support, constant mistakes with billing and addresses.. ugh.

Those are the only two ISPs I have experiance with but from conversations with other people I can say I'm satisfied that nildram is one of the best out there.

Zen are the best ISP I've ever used, but they are expensive and they've introduced caps since I last used the.

Virgin, ok but their communication is awful.

Bulldog, were billing someone elses credit card for my usage. Sounds great, but didn't fill me with confidence. Told me I could only contact the people who could sort it out by email so I left them.

Plusnet. What can I say? Terrible, simply terrible. It just disconnects constantly and their customer service is terrible.

Switching to Sky on Tuesday. Just hope it's not another TalkTalk scenario.

I can back that up, same story here. Took 5 months and a lot of hassle to get it. They are completely overwhelmed by the demand.
The dns server can't cope half the time so it takes several tries to get to a webpage.

You pay for what you get i suppose.
