I need to get a replacement adsl wireless modem as my asus dsl-n55u has died. I would like replacement that has as good or better wireless range. I am currently using a old netgear dg834gt which has a poor wireless network range. Could anyone recommend good ones.. ideally not too expensive?. I am using plusnet as my isp.
Thanks in advance guys.

When did you buy the DSL-N55U? They have a 3 year warranty don't they? Just wondered in case had less than 3 years...

The TP Link AC1900 (VR900 v2) is about £120 but a great bit of kit. Good wifi coverage and speeds, solid sync rate and very rarely lost sync.

I just sent a to link vr2800 back was slower than my old Netgear when wired think it was faulty wireless was very good

Thanks guys, the DSL-N55U keeps crashing i did a hard reset but it keeps losing connection, whereas my old netgear dg834gt does not.
I have checked that there are no firmware updates for the DSL-N55U, is there anything else i can try then buying another modem router?

Interesting my asus dsl-n55u bought in june 2013 has started causing trouble the last few weeks. If I log into the router it often says its connected but no computers on the network will have internet. Browsing admin panel is also more sluggish , added with random disconnects and sometimes requiring a reboot to get back working. Currently also looking for replacement.
