ADSL2+ optimisation

OK...the good news...i've just been activated on Bulldog's 16Meg service.

The not so good news...im only at about 5Meg.

Now, I dont have the line figures to hand (im at work), but when I first ordered from bulldog I checked my attenuation and SNR on an online checker which indicated I should be able to get about 12Meg.

Does anyone know of any good links to 'tune' my connection?

What router? I know of tweaks for Belkin and Netgear.

That's only a guesstimate so won't be too accurate, should probably be higher than 5 though.
