ADT Price Increases

Adt are as bad as sky, as you say price rises every 6 months or so, we started on £30 something a month then they put us up to 45 then tried to put it up to £67 a month and i called to cancel, magically 6 months half price and back down to £35 a month after.

Still told them to do one as i had nothing but grief. If your intent on keeping tho call and threaten to leave.

Ahh, this is what I was actually coming back to ask. Have you done this? Are the awkward about it, or hand it over happily? Do you simply ask when you ring to cancel?

mine was a dormant alarm in a property I moved into, previous owner had stopped maintenance,

the anti tamper alarm went off one day in the display box (possibly after powercuts) didn't have the code, and wasn't paying, had about a week of heavy duty sound insulation against the box,
whilst I did internet research (alarm forums) on hard reset on the control box in the loft (playing with jumpers) before I managed to disable/reset it.

so I don't know definitively what rights you have to get the code, but if you needed to do any decommissioning of sounder box or room sensors could be in a world of pain w/o it.
