What is classed as an Advanced Excel User ? It is one of the requirements of a job application.

I can sort of find my way through Pivot tables, vlookups, if statements etc.....

What more should a advanced user be able to do?

I'm sure you could do it and like everything else, the internet will have the answer for those few things you don't know.
 
That's the sort of thing that I would ask before interview. Its meaning really depends on the sort of thing the organisation needs you to do. In many places he sorts of thing that you mention would be regarded as advanced.
Other things that could be included would be:
Good 'database'/table design (so that when you use Excel's inbuilt functionality like Autofilter or sort excel guesses correctlly where the headers are.
Confident use of charts, Index & Match, sumproduct, use of wildcards in lookups

General awareness of Excels capabilities - the range of functions, MS Query, conditional formats, User defined functions, formats, styles and confidence that you could quickly learn to tame those features that you are less familiar with.....
