My windows PC was checking for updates and a optional update appeared

AMDI, Graphics adapter WDDM1.3 for the R9 290

I currently have the AMD 14.2 CCC beta installed, Should I also install the optional update or just hide this within the windows update area

Also does anyone have any detailed information what this driver update is for

Its windows generic GPX driver. you don't want it. sometimes Windows installs it before you have time to install AMD's, this is how you get rid of it http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=385198

Right click, hide. Its the Windows display driver. Just use the latest 14.4 WHQL drivers.
