Advanced q-fan technology

I believe this comes with all P5B series motherboards, the trouble is i cant get it to work and the 2*120mm fans going at full blast is begining to get irritating. Has anyone got it going yet, if so any tips?

The specs of my system are:
Core 2 Duo E6600
Asus P5B-vm
GSkill 6400 HZ
NVidia 7900GT

CPU sits at 34 idle and rises to 40 under load so isnt hot enough to warrant the fans being at full blast

Its enabled in the bios and set to "ultra silent" mode.

I have used AMD's version cool and quiet before with ease but this is beginning to bug me. I dont know whether im missing a driver/application or need to perform some sort of voodoo so any help would be appreciated

Older asus boards with Q-Fan only controlled the speed of the processor fan. If thats still the case, you'll need a proper fan controller to manage the speed and temperature of your case fans.
