So, I built a machine at the beginning of this week, and was unaware the motherboard actually had a Wifi adapter built in - happy days.

But, I have bought and installed a
TP-Link 450Mbps Wireless N Dual Band PCI Express Adapter
(TL-WDN4800)

This isn't actually being used for my Wifi yet, so I'm wondering, is there a benefit to using this apposed to one built into the MB?

Any advice is appreciated - I'm way over my head with this stuff.

Is this the Asus Prime B350-Plus from your other thread? If so I can't see an mention of it having built-in wireless.
Yep! That's the one. There is no mention of it, which it why it threw me a bit. The adapter comes up as the following - Qualcomm Atheros AR938x Wireless Network Adapter

You may be confused...

I believe that the chipset on the TL-WDN4800 is the Qualcomm Atheros AR9380 and that's what you're seeing.

If the motherboard has wireless it will have antennas or somewhere to connect them.
