Advent 3217 Formatting Cnt Find Drivers

Want to reformat my computer and it is a advent 3217 computer. Not sure what drivers are needed and where to find them. If anyone knows where to find them or has them then please help. Dnt wna format then not be able to find the drivers. Have no discs for the computer so dnt have them myself. Need the net to find them.

The write-up for it on the website doesn't contain many drivers for your model unfortunately. There is a general downloads section here, which has a lot of different drivers. Just need to know the hardware you have, which is available on the write-up here.

The PC you have was set up with a Version 3 Advent recovery. Originally the PC would have included a recovery boot disk, which worked in conjunction with a hidden partition on the hard drive, to restore factory settings.

Because of this, replacement media would be £55 (Recovery boot disk+Update CD), so if you can find the drivers yourself it'd save you a few quid.
 
at current i have my computer running with microsoft xp. I am a lil confused as it has a few problems so i wnted to format it. how will i go about formatting it. I have a windows xp copy and disc but just worried how to install the drivers after. would my pc of come with the discs to restore it. Thanks for helping
 
Did you own the PC from new? If so, it should have come with an Advent recovery disk. If you have the disk, it will only fully work if the hidden partition containing the drivers etc.. is still intact.

If a clean copy of windows has been installed at some point, the partition may no longer be there.

To be honest, if you did fresh install XP, there would only be a few drivers missing. The graphics and sound would most likely be missing, but these will be available on the net somewhere - the first link I gave should help with that.
