Advent Calender

I've bought a 'do it yourself' advent calender for Christmas for the girlfriend and have the usual things to put in it like photos and little things she likes. I have a few more ideas but was wondering if anyone else has done it and had any other good ideas?

Things i was thinking;

Earrings
Picture key ring
chocolates

and other little things.
