Recently acquired one of these and flashed it to 3.2 then updated 9n update3 that was causing crashes - re flashed back to original version, it crashes less but still enough to annoy the hell out of me.

its the biggest POS i think ive ever used... lol :p

A google search on the subject reveals plenty of similar complaints and 1 suggested fix "diet" version of something to help with memory usage. Apparently it doesn't work either.

I wouldn't say im at my wits end with this but after all the praise it gets im a bit miffed. Its great for everything except what I use it for half of the time ... lol

Can anyone recommend another decent android ROM for the Vega ? or even better a way to fix the constant crashing of the browser.

i read something about CM7 or corvus?? same thing??? as long as its stable has android market im happy.

i dont have time for this now hopefully at the weekend. Good thing i enjoy playing with this stuff but I cant wait for a windows 8 tablet now.

I've been meaning to try the latest HoneyIce or VegaICS but I just don't feel the need at the moment.
Viewcomb went on without any hassle, eliminated all the touchscreen and force close issues I was having with whatever HoneyIce version it was I had been using.
Agree with you on it being a tiny bit slower but it's worth it for how much better it is to use.

Have to love the dev communitys work with this device, without them it would be utterly useless!
Guess for the OP it is still worth trying all the most recent, popular, roms. Different experiences on different Vegas it seems!

I installed the VegaICS rom on my Vega today.
It's good, well worth trying out if you haven't already.
Performance is good, touchscreen is working the best it ever has, nice to use.
The viewcomb rom was good, but I think this will stay installed. :)
