Hello

After successfully rooting and unlocking etc my San Fran I thought that I would give the Advent Vera a go.
I have just bought one and I'm not sure how to check if it has the latest (I think) 1.09 ROM installed already.
Under Settings / About device it has Build Number Harmony 2.2 FRF91 20110211.101539. The Kernel is 2.6.32.9_P10_v1.10_20110218_DIX EC Version 1.9.0

But when I try and install the clockwork it will not recognise the device and I'm thinking that I do not have the correct drivers installed on the Win 7x64 PC I'm connecting it to.

All that I see is...

...So I figure that the one click install Clockwork etc is not going to work but I will be beggared if I can find the correct driver or how to install it.

I am getting a little mushy head with all the stuff I'm reading over at Modaco so if so very kind person could just help me out here for this bit I'm sure that once CWM is installed I can then get the nandroid done and the Corvus5 ROM installed.

Many thanks :)

You want to get the Modaco ADB driver and install that. There are some good guides over at Modaco which I followed to do mine before I got fed up with the terrible screen and returned it. Look for a thread that talks about Vega Tools.

Also, it's called a Vega, not a Vera.

Thanks for that. It was indeed the USB driver that was causing the issue which I resolved by using the one that came within the Corvus 5 image called...

r1-tegrausbdrivers-modaco.zip

once I used the above I could then see the "Android Composite ADB Interface" under a "Android Phone" within device manager and all worked a treat.

I installed the Corvus 5 ROM and the Tablet performs really well.

I do notice the viewing restrictions but for single use at £199 it more than suits my needs considering the cost of anything else to make a noticeable difference.
