I've put a deposit down on my friends 350z but I need to sell my Micra before I can purchase it. I've put adverts on autotrader and Gumtree but not really heard anything besides one phonecall I missed when my phone was on silent. I've never sold privately before. Any advice of what I could do to help sell faster? I think it's quite well priced from similar adverts on there. Here's the link:

Start with the bullets rather than having loads of text before getting to some of the basics.

Generally it's fine though apart from being a bit needlessly wordy, you'll probably just find as it's a fairly generic small car it will take a little bit of time for the right person to come along - especially if it's priced well (didn't check)

That second ding could be made to look much tidier by getting rid of the paint transfer btw

Wording seemed ok - what rodenal said.
for the pictures
- picture with the sill scrape, the door looks dirty too so cannot see the extent of the damage, would probably take a close up to make it clear if it was down to metal
- picture with mileometer, maybe clean the binnacle window
- whose tyres are they, and how much is left.

any re-gas on the aircon. ?

Looks to be an ideal first car, you mention low running costs and low insurance?

When it's next service and MOT etc

e:

With a low tax bracket (£30 per year), an average of 45MPG around town and only an insurance group 5 this car makes the ideal first.

Benefiting from a full-service history (recent new front brake pads), low mileage for the age and only one previous keeper it has been well looked after, throughout my ownership. Sadly I'm having to part with it due to needing to make way for a new car.

It comes with a couple of options such as cruise control, Bluetooth, climate control and alloy wheels which helps to keep you and your loved ones safe and legal on the road.

It has a couple of age related marks, a couple of the alloy wheels have a slight amount of kerb rashing and there are a couple of marks on the paintwork but for a car of 6 years old nothing untoward. I've pictured these for transparency.

Good description.

Thanks for your help:). I'll try and alter the wording and pictures to help it along. I knew it was never going to have the phone ringing off the hook but I did expect at least a bit more interest than I've had. I think the colour puts a lot of potential buyers off too. Decided to put it back to £3000 because if smashing the price down isn't going to land me a significantly quicker sale then I might as well keep it at around what I want for it so if someone wants to knock me down a bit, they can. Glad I paid for a 6 week advert now! I also lold at the one lady owner comment, I've never had so much stick in work as the day I traded in my Octavia vrs for this:D. This has been the best car I've ever owned though, weirdly.

That will soon change when you get the 350z. That must also mean the Octavia VRS is a really, really **** car to drive :p

I find eBay to be the best site to sell cars on and its 1000x times cheaper than AT.

The Octavia wasn't terrible to drive but it couldn't be more different to the Micra with regards to reliability. The Octavia broke down 3 times on the way to the Nissan dealership alone on the very last day I had it:D. eBay is a good shout actually, I'll get it on that too.
