Advert/presentation software for LCD Screen

Hey Guys

Everyone must have seen this kinda thing before......in a waiting area somewhere theres an LCD screen thats just flicking through various bits of information and adverts etc.

We're currently just using a powerpoint presentation but it's becomming a pain having to constantly edit the presentation with new information and adverts.

Does anyone know of any software that I can use to play through the adverts/info but easily add new information?

And maybe you can just use a video and edit it with the correct software?

I don't know if this is overkill for your situation but I know some people who use OneLan for digital signage (which I think is what you're after)

Whether it would lessen your workload I'm not sure because it's a lot more sophisticated.

powerpoint is gonna be the easiest

alternatively you could get a program that slideshows images (acdsee irfanview etc) and then use a graphics program to make image files and just add them to the que.

one i used in the past was audience.tv but that sucked. but you can do live video and scrolling text like the news..
