HI all

Thinking of getting a laptop for gaming as on the go allot and fed up siting at my desk playing a desktop espically when i have a big comfy sofa being wasted :)

but i have been reading on the web that they only last for about two years then go boom!! any truth in this ??

I have no budget but looking for one that can knock out wow/D3 on max settings with no problems.

have been looking at Alienware but allot of people seem to say you are just paying for the name. Also the samsung one from Overclockers but maybe that would be over kill for what i want.

cheers for any help you can give in advance :)

There is no reason why they shouldn't as long as you use it properly (IE don't go gaming with it on your bed or something).

Whether it will be powerful enough to run new games in 2 years time is another question. :)

I have an Asus G73 gaming laptop and mine has never gone boom but as long as you keep em cool and don't black the vents with pillows or bedding they will be fine. As ShortWarning said laptop can't be upagraded as much as a desktop can but you could build a htpc and have xbmc installed like i have and run it from your tv. I have all my media files and xbmc has a advanced launcher so you can play games too.
