Would a X1800XT 512mb (along side a Opty 146 @ 3ghz) be good enough to use with a Belinea 2225S1W 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor to play the following games at native res ? :

Splinter cell double agent
Need for speed carbon
Counter strike source

i've moved this to graphics card forum for you as i think it's more of a question about what your graphics card can manage. To clarify, the OP is asking if his set up and GFX can potentially support a 1680 x 1050 resolution for gaming?

(note: left a referral from monitors forum in case anyone can help from there too :))

Depends on how high you like your frame rates. But it won't be unplayable if that's what your asking. I know oblivion runs quite well on the 256mb version at that res.

I dont know about the other two but css will be fine, i ran it on an X800, max settings on a 19"ws.

Aslong as you don't go overboard (i.e. 16x AF and 8x AA would be a no no) with the quality settings you should be able to play those games fine...

Thanks for the help guys and cheers for moving this thread ;)

I like to have 60+ frames per second unless its need for speed as racing games seem to be smooth at 40+.
