Advice about remapping and dpf removal

How does that have any relevance to forcing old diesels off of the roads? The emissions targets they have to meet will be the same as always, this change is only relevant to new cars.

If they shifted the goal posts whenever they feel like it, my E30 would have been forced off of the road because it doesn't have a catalytic converter.

Because eventually the DPF will break, or the car will fail it's MOT because it's been removed and require a new one. Since they are pretty expensive, many old cars will be scrapped.
