Advice between 2 systems

Hiya im not new to the forum just been along time and have re-registered

Ok

I want a decent home desktop internet, kids home work and a decent games machines without having to be the best, just lost touch with todays dual core systems etc.

They are both dell systems don't laugh.....


1st

Athlon 64 X2 dual core 5600+
2 gig
500 gig hard drive
19" TFT
256mb X1300 graphics yes not sure on this


£779 inc vat and delivery


2nd

Intel dual core E6300
2 gig
500 gig hard drive
19" TFT
256mb 7900 GS

£799 inc


i know they don't set the world alight but just would prefer some input.

I can always upgrade the X1300 to a better graphics card for £100-£150 not sure how the CPU's compare.

The 2nd choice is by far the best way to go i think! Also depends if your going to be overclocking??

thanks for your reply used to overclock a few years back

thats why i thought the E6300 over E6400 but to tell you the truth not sure if dell pc's bios let u overclock.......
