Hi guys, my brothers Ipod Touch is no longer working/powering on, we have tried all the troubleshooting on the Apple website to no avail.

Now my brother bought this a little under a year ago from HMV and doesn't have the receipt.

Is it best to go to the Apple shop or HMV for a repair. Will a repair be granted, will he be charged etc.

Just need a little advice as never been in this situation before myself.

Cheers.

I'd take it to an Apple Store, call them up and book an appointment. If its in warranty and its not been damaged by the user they'll fix it.

Definitely the Apple Store - provided he's registered it on iTunes should be no problem as Apple will have details (just dealt with an iPhone this way).

Remember to book an appointment at an Apple Store if possible. Otherwise call them and they may send out a box for a replacement part etc.
