Advice choosing card please

Hi,
Recently got back into pc gaming and i just installed CoD4.
It is so much more fun with a mouse than a joypad

Anyway, my current computer is no slouch, only built it 2 years ago.

I have to lower the texture quality in CoD4 to get it playing completely smooth, so i think i may need a new card, especially with the new MW2 about to hit.

my current specs:

Q6600 @ 3ghz
4 GB RAM
8800 GTS 512mb
1680*1050 resolution

Budget is not really a problem, but i want 'Bang for Buck' rather than 'Cutting Edge' if you know what i mean.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated ...
