hi all hope everyone are keepimg well and safe.
i orderd a, Scythe FUMA 2 120mm CPU Cooler but none in stock nntill end of may,
would this be a good replacement Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU Air Tower Cooler.
i know its a bit ott for this setup.

CPU AMD RYZEN 3600
MOTHERBOARD...B450 TOMAHAWK MAX
GPU radeon rx 590 gaming 8gb
corsair lpx RAM.. DD4 2X8 16 GB 3200MHZ
psu corsair rm750x
ssd corsair nvme pcle mp510 960 m.2
tower ENTHOO PRO M TEMPERED GLASS
Phanteks universal fan controller., thanks for any help.

Dark Rock Pro 4 would be one of the two coolers on my list if I were looking at a new air cooler, good looks and top notch performance, the other would be the NH-D15 Chromax but I don't think it's worth £30 more than the Pro 4. With the boost behaviour of the new Ryzen chips I don't think there is anything OTT about top end coolers for them, lower temps will allow higher boost clocks for more sustained periods.

Exactly why I bought a DRPro4 for a 2600X

thanks PieEater i like this one NH-D15 Chromax but too expensive can get this one for under £70 Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4.
would it fit in my tower?

You're just being lazy now, you should check your case manufacturers website for the specifications (CPU Cooler Clearance) and the BeQuiet site to check the height of the cooler. Hint - your case supports coolers up to 194mm tall and the cooler is 163mm tall ;)

thanks for that, was it hard to fit,! just orderd, now lets hope it fits in my case.

Good choice, it's not the easiest but worth it once it's in, depends on your case to be honest

Couple of tips

Make sure the cross bar sits in the little grooves correctly

Remove your GPU first before even looking at the cooler

Mount the ceiling side of the fan clip first and pull the fan into position across the cooler and then clip the GPU side of the cooler in, you have less room on the ceiling side so this is easier

Other than that follow the instructions closely and make sure you apply thermal paste correctly first time because they are tight with how much they give you

thanks great advice,i have mx-4 would i be better using this paste?

I have a Shadow Rock 3 on my 3700X and it never goes above 65 degrees. Only been on for a couple of days be I'm very happy with it's almost silent operation and cooling.

Not OTT at all. The better the cooler the quieter system can and almost always is). Bigger / better cooling only means cooler doesn't work as hard so fans don't flow as much air mrsninh cooler fan/s and case fans as well don't need to spin as fast / flow as much air all making system that much quieter.

i consider it future proofing my cooler for when i do updates to my system later.
Brocken 3 is only step behind the best level cooler and likely limited by that one low speed fan.
And it's AMD who is more honest in their TDP nowadays while Intel is making space heaters.
Ryzen's heat output even under full load is lower and gaming certainly won't be doing any all core AVX load for 12/16 core.

Also there's one extra variable in Ryzen.
Intel has had plenty of concave heatspreaders and along with centered heat source that's led many cooler makers to using heatsink bases with some convexity.
AMD again has flattish and possibly even slightly convex from center heatspreader.
So should be easy to see why there could be some less than optimal cooling performances with chiplet design Zen2, if sticking such convex base cooler on it.
And if wanting the absolutely best cooling might want to to avoid more convex base coolers.
