New member here, hello! So this is a post I made elsewhere, and I didn't get a single comment - I think I might have put a bit too much info? Hoping I have better luck here!

Looking for some thoughts from the esteemed people in this subreddit. I think I've narrowed it down to my two favourites - one is OLED (which I REALLY want to move to, but am nervous about burn-in) but am open to suggestions.

I currently work with 2 (or more kind of one and a half in terms of usage) 27" 4k IPS flat panels.

I'm looking to upgrade to a single screen (32" ish). Probably curved, because I think I would need to wear my glasses if parts of the screen are any further away than the corners of my current main 27".

Things about me / usage:

  • I always want the latest and greatest (who doesn't, right?)
  • I spend a lot of time in front of my screen
  • Usage coding, creative and other productivity, ~10-12hrs a day
  • Mac (recent spec Apple silicon)
  • No direct sunlight issues, I face towards the window
  • Budget ~1250 (£/€/$) but could stretch a little to get it right
Must haves:

  • Curved (in two minds about R figure - either "go the full hog", or "a cautious slight curve" - can't decide)
  • 4k (at least)
  • 120hz at least (I do a lot of scrolling through text)
  • Matte finish (or at least some anti-reflective treatment of sorts)
  • Ideally DP over Thunderbolt / USBC but not a deal breaker as long as the above is supported
  • KVM would be nice, but again not a deal breaker
The current shortlist (favourite first):

  • Dell/Alienware 32" AW3225QF 1700R OLED
  • Samsung Odyssey Neo 32" G85NB 1000R Mini-LED
  • MCI 31.5" G321CU 1500R VA
  • Gigabyte 3‎1.5" M32UC-EK 1500R VA

What do you guys think?

I've got a 32" LG GN850 which is a few years old (2019 I think?) that I got cheap from a neighbour. It's absolutely amazing imo, cost me £400 but I'd definitely get another LG if I was getting a new monitor.

He replaced it with a super ultrawide Samsung G9 that he said is even better though - but very expensive if that matters, but I see Samsung in your shortlist.

I know a few people with the massive Samsung's and love em.
