I am an amateur at best, so I was wondering if someone could give me some advise on the best settings to use at Crufts this year!

I went last year and took my 550D with kit lenses (18-55mm + 55-250mm) and I think I just left it on "sports mode" and got some okayish (IMO!) results:

I don't have any different kit so i'd appreciate any tips/advice on getting some good doggy pics this year!

Thanks in advance!

I am going this year with press accreditation. Never done such an event but I am going to mainly rely on 16-35, 70-200 and 400mm focal lengths.

Not sure what to expect but looking forward to it. You should try to get out of auto modes though.

You can't really suggest settings without knowing the lighting conditions. Try take shots from the dogs point of view though, as the lower down you get, the better the shot will be most of the time. Its a general rule of thumb which works for most things. There are hundreds of millions of photos of dogs from a human perspective and most of them aren't great, yet the best dog shots are from the height of the dog itself (or any other animal for that matter, regardless of gear used).
