I'm building a PC and a little confused whether I should go for x670e and would appreciate some advice.
Was looking at maybe the asus strix x670e-f
Is that overkill?
I have so far rtx4090, 2 x 2tb Samsung 980 pro m.2 SSDs. Don't need lots of sata ports. Would like to add more m.2 in future most likely. Was looking at 7950/7900/7700 as CPU and would be overclocking.
The B650 boards are PCI4.0 rather than 5.0? Would that affect the performance of 4090/samsung M.2 ssd speed, or not a concern?
From what I gather the x670e has 2 x chips to lower temp of the individual chips, and give faster PCI-E 5.0 lanes and fast USB ports?
Am I going to run into problems installing further M.2 SSDs? Saw one mobo review saying it dropped the graphics card slot to x8 when further m.2 drives are used... Would this be a concern?
